The Challenge
In this bathroom remodel, the challenge was to create a fully illuminated niche along the entire wall, as requested by the client. However, achieving those dimensions required modifying part of the wall, which posed a structural risk since it was a load-bearing wall.
The Solution
To ensure structural integrity, we consulted an engineer who provided the best solution. Following their recommendation, we installed an LVL beam capable of supporting the weight
of the house without compromising its stability. This approach allowed us to incorporate the niche seamlessly while maintaining the home’s structural integrity and meeting the client’s
expectations.
